PROJECT CARGO FOR OIL, GAS & PETROCHEMICALS
Oil & Gas Equipment Transport: Project Cargo for Refineries
We coordinate the transport of tanks, distillation columns and refinery modules for petrochemical operators and EPC contractors, in full compliance with the industry's safety standards.
How we operate in Oil & Gas
The Transport Partner for Refineries and Petrochemical Projects
Refineries and EPC contractors in oil and gas work with one-of-a-kind pieces that are often impossible to divide. A distillation column or a reactor cannot be transported "in pieces" without compromising the equipment's integrity.
As a freight forwarder, we coordinate the transport of this equipment through an extensive network of vetted carrier partners, using SPMTs, hydraulic modular trailers and hydraulic gantries for installation, in compliance with the sector's strict industrial safety requirements.

How we work
Why Choose Us for Oil & Gas
Tonnage Calculations for One-of-a-Kind Pieces
Columns and reactors weighing hundreds of tonnes require precise weight distribution calculations and route strength verification before the transport is confirmed.
Coordination with the Refinery's Safety Standards
Every refinery has its own access and handling procedures. We align with each industrial site's requirements, together with our partners.
SPMT Access Through the Partner Network
For ultra-heavy pieces, we coordinate self-propelled modular trailers and hydraulic gantries for vertical handling, through specialized carriers.

What we transport
What We Transport for Oil & Gas
Every refinery or oilfield piece gets the heavy-lift equipment suited to its tonnage.
Industrial Tanks
Transport of storage tanks, with weight calculations and a dedicated route.
Distillation Columns
Transport of long, heavy pieces, on modular or extendable trailers.
Refinery Modules
Full coordination for prefabricated process modules, from port to site.
Reactors & Autoclaves
Transport of process equipment, in line with industrial safety standards.
Oilfield Equipment
Transport of extraction and production equipment, delivered in sync with the work schedule.
Heat Exchangers
Transport of large units for the refinery's storage and utility areas.

The specific challenge
From the Discharge Port to the Installation Pad
Much petrochemical equipment arrives by sea and requires transshipment to the final site. Through our network partners, we coordinate the lift from the port, the road transport and, where needed, installation with a hydraulic gantry directly onto the foundation.
For multi-piece projects, where a new refinery can require dozens of components, we synchronize deliveries with the construction schedule, so every piece arrives exactly when the installation team needs it.

Frequently asked questions
Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals: frequently asked questions
As a freight forwarder, we manage the entire oversized transport permit process, together with our carrier partners and the road authorities in every country crossed. We carry out a route survey to check road widths, bridges, roundabouts and clearance restrictions, so a large column or reactor reaches the refinery without hold-ups.
Distillation columns are long pieces, often tens of meters, that cannot be divided without compromising the equipment's integrity. Through our network of carrier partners, we coordinate extendable or modular trailers for extra-long pieces, with weight distribution calculations and a dedicated route survey. For critical sections we use, where required, SPMTs and technical escort.
For ultra-heavy reactors, autoclaves and pressure vessels, we coordinate hydraulic modular trailers and self-propelled SPMTs through the specialized carriers in our network. Every piece gets a precise tonnage calculation and route strength verification before the transport is confirmed, and at destination we can also provide installation onto the foundation with a hydraulic gantry.
We recommend contacting us as early as possible, because heavy-lift equipment such as SPMTs, modular trailers and route permits require advance planning. We issue the project quote within 24h, and a dedicated project manager coordinates the deadlines so the delivery synchronizes with the site's construction schedule.
Yes, second-hand or relocated equipment that retains hydrocarbon residues can fall under ADR regulations for the transport of dangerous goods. We check the equipment's condition together with you and, where necessary, coordinate ADR-certified carriers and the related documentation, in parallel with the oversized transport permits.
Yes, we provide full door-to-door coordination: many modules and process vessels arrive by sea and require transshipment to the final destination. Through our network partners we manage the lift from the port, the road transport and, where needed, the installation on the pad, with extended CMR insurance of up to EUR 2.5 million for the entire journey.
