PROJECT CARGO FOR THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY
Reactor and Equipment Transport for the Chemical Industry
We coordinate the transport of reactors, autoclaves and industrial tanks for chemical and petrochemical manufacturers, in line with the sector's strict safety standards.
How we operate in the Chemical Industry
The Transport Partner for the Chemical and Petrochemical Industry
Reactors, autoclaves and industrial tanks are expensive and often one-of-a-kind pieces of equipment: damage in transit can mean months of delay for a production line.
Through our network of specialized partners, we coordinate the transport of this equipment with handling procedures aligned to the chemical industry's safety standards, including cases where ADR regulations come into play.

How we work
Why Choose Us for the Chemical Industry
Handling to Safety Standards
We follow the strict safety procedures specific to chemical industry equipment, adapted to each type of machinery.
Coordination Where ADR Applies
For equipment that falls under dangerous goods regulations, we coordinate the documentation and certified drivers well in advance.
Access to Modular Trailers Through the Network
Through our vetted partners, we configure the right equipment for high-tonnage reactors and tanks.

The specific challenge
When Chemical Equipment Transport Overlaps with ADR
One frequently overlooked aspect of transporting chemical industry equipment is the moment a used machine falls under ADR dangerous goods regulations. Even if the object being transported is a piece of equipment, not a substance, a reactor, autoclave or tank that has already been in service can retain chemical residues on its internal walls, in fittings or in hard-to-reach areas. In such cases the equipment is no longer considered neutral from a transport perspective, and the ADR framework applies.
That is why we check in advance, together with the client, whether the equipment has been cleaned and decontaminated or whether it still contains hazardous residues. A new machine that has never come into contact with dangerous substances travels under standard conditions. A used piece of equipment with confirmed residues requires full ADR documentation and a certified driver, both of which we coordinate through our partner network. Clarifying this before departure avoids compliance surprises in transit and hold-ups at border or roadside checks.

Frequently asked questions
Chemical Industry: frequently asked questions
We handle the entire process, through our network of vetted partners. We carry out the route survey, obtain the oversized transport permits in every country crossed and coordinate, where required, the escort vehicles and the authorities' approvals. The client receives a clear transport plan, without having to deal with the paperwork.
When the equipment has already been in service and may retain hazardous substance residues on its internal walls or in its fittings, it falls under ADR regulations, even though the object being transported is a machine, not chemical cargo. We check the equipment's condition in advance, together with the client, and where necessary we prepare the full documentation and coordinate ADR-certified drivers through our partners. A new, uncontaminated machine travels under standard conditions.
Yes, if the equipment has contained hazardous substances, cleaning and decontamination are the shipper's responsibility and must be done before loading. A properly decontaminated machine, with the documents to prove it, can travel under standard conditions and avoids hold-ups at roadside or border checks. We clarify this at the quoting stage, so you know exactly what each option involves.
The configuration depends on weight, dimensions and shape. Through our network partners we access modular trailers, lowbed platforms and extendable trailers, suited to bulky and heavy process equipment. We choose the solution based on the route survey, so axle loads and overall height stay within the legal limits along the way.
The cost is calculated based on tonnage, dimensions, route, required permits and any ADR requirements, so every project is priced individually. Send us the equipment type, the dimensions and the loading and delivery points, and we will prepare a project quote within 24 hours, with a dedicated manager by your side throughout.
A reactor or autoclave is often a one-of-a-kind piece of equipment, and damage can shut down a production line for months. That is why we use securing and lifting procedures adapted to the equipment's shape, protection against shocks and, through our vetted partners, personnel experienced in handling process machinery. In addition, we offer extended CMR insurance of up to EUR 2.5 million, matched to the equipment's actual value.
