The last mile: site access
Many infrastructure sites have temporary access via diversion roads or compounds still under construction. We verify these routes in advance, since they often do not appear on standard maps, working directly with the client's project team to avoid surprises at the delivery point.
For very heavy machinery, we coordinate cranes or additional handling equipment at destination where needed, through our network partners, so unloading is safe and fast.

A machine exceeding the legal dimension or weight limits requires a Special Transport Permit, which sets the approved route, the validity period and the movement conditions. As a freight forwarder, we coordinate the entire process through our partners: the route survey, obtaining the permits and, where required, the escort. You receive a single complete package, without having to deal with the formalities yourself.
The duration depends on the distance, how far the cargo exceeds legal dimensions and the time needed for permits, which we recommend requesting at least two weeks in advance. For oversized transports between European countries the usual timeline is a few days of actual driving, plus the route planning. On request, we include an estimated schedule in the project quote, which we prepare within 24 hours.
We choose the trailer based on the machine's dimensions and weight, from lowbed platforms to multi-axle trailers for very heavy loads. For long pieces we use extendable trailers, which provide the necessary length without raising the center of gravity. We establish the exact configuration once you send us the equipment's specifications.
For precast girders and bridge segments we use well trailers and extendable configurations, adapted to the length and weight of each piece. Through our network partners we coordinate the route survey, the dimension permits and the escort where needed. We synchronize the delivery with the installation window, so the structure arrives on site at exactly the right moment.

For each piece of equipment we establish the transport configuration and the permits required for its dimensions and weight.
